LABORGURU was established in 2008 by Ignacio Goris, a seasoned professional in the food service consulting industry. With over 20 years of experience, Ignacio has become a distinguished expert in labor management services… or the LABORGURU.
As the President and Founder of Profitality Labor Guru, Ignacio Goris holds a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, specializing in Operations Research, and a Bachelor's degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering. Throughout his extensive career, Ignacio has collaborated with over 100 brands in the foodservice industry, showcasing his expertise in process re-engineering, labor management systems, and concept design.

Juan Martinez, PhD, FCSI
Juan Martinez is a 40-year foodservice industry veteran and Principal and Co-Founder of Profitality Labor Guru, an Industrial Engineering Consulting Company whose focus is to help multi-unit foodservice brands improve efficiency of operations and design to drive better “Unit Economics” that can fuel “Brand Growth”.
Juan’s experience spans to over 120 different foodservice concepts (domestic and international) across all menu and service system offerings. Prior to consulting, Juan spend 17 years at Burger King and The Pillsbury Company restaurant group, as part of the team that pioneered the application of Industrial Engineering in foodservice.
His roles included Director of Research and Development for Operations, Menu and Equipment Development. Juan has a BS in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Georgia Tech, and an MS and PhD degree in Engineering Management and Ergonomics from the University of Miami. He currently a Board of Trustee in the Foodservice Consultants Society International (FCSI).
Juan was selected as the 2023 “Top Achiever” Consultant by Foodservice Equipment & Supplies Magazine. As an industry “thought leader” Juan frequently speaks at industry gatherings, and has written over 100 articles in foodservice journals, including a regular column in Foodservice Equipment & Supplies.
Carlos Espinosa, Director & Shareholder
A Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certified Industrial & Systems Engineer. A breadth of knowledge generated from working directly with over 100 unique service brands, mostly in foodservice, across 8 different countries globally.
Rich industry experience in strategic planning, operational excellence, automation modeling & implementation, project management, simulation modeling, operations research, ROI analysis, process improvements and data analysis that spans over 14+ years. Scholastic background includes a BS in Industrial and Systems Engineering and an MS in Engineering Management.
Juan Pablo Lopez, Director & Shareholder
He has over 13 years of Industrial Engineering consulting experience at Profitality Labor Guru. Juan Pablo graduated with a BS in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Florida International University. In addition to providing Industrial Engineering expertise Juan Pablo’s works side by side with clients as a project manager to ensure optimum application and use of the internal Profitality Labor Guru resources, to align with the client’s direction and project goals and objectives.
Juan Pablo’s experience spans to more than 100 different brands across all service and menu offerings. Juan Pablo is also Lean Six Sigma certified.
Nerea Garbayo, Business Manager
Nerea has a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration (International Business and Marketing minor) and a Professional MBA from Florida International University.
In her role, she has streamlined operations by defining roles and integrating processes for both the business and data management teams. Nerea has optimized financial systems, managing everything from payroll to vendor payments, while strategically enhancing revenue by aligning expenses with additional income streams.
Additionally, she oversees the payroll and benefits administration for consultants, demonstrating a comprehensive approach to human resources management. Her hands-on approach extends to leadership in marketing campaigns and trade show planning. With a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt and essential Tableau training, Nerea brings a holistic perspective to Labor Guru, focusing on excellence, innovation, and financial accuracy.

With over 5 years of Industrial Engineering consulting, Marco’s experience spans to more than 20 different brands across all service and menu offerings. Marco is also a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified.
Daniel Lanzziano, Senior Engineering Consultant
Over 10 years of Industrial Engineering consulting experience at Profitality Labor Guru. Daniel graduated with a BS in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Florida International University.
In addition to providing Industrial Engineering expertise Daniel works side by side with clients as a senior engineering consultant to ensure optimum application and use of the internal Profitality Labor Guru resources, to align with the client’s direction and project goals and objectives.
Daniel’s experience spans to more than 50 different brands across all service and menu offerings. Daniel also has experience as a process improvement engineer.
Alejandro Saavedra, Engineering Consultant
Alejandro Saavedra is a dynamic Industrial Engineer who graduated from the University of Miami. His experience spans a plethora of brands from the Food and Service industries. Alejandro is also a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
